It was a priority, but it has been prioritized in the law of the 7th plan and a chapter has been dedicated to this area.The Deputy of Parliament Affairs, Legal and Provincial Affairs of the Ministry of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts continued: In this chapter of the law of the program dedicated to tourism, from the infrastructure to the titles, the position of tourism has been well established.Vahidi pointed to the role of the private sector in the development of the tourism industry and added: The private sector has always played a significant role in the prosperity of the tourism industry and we must give more powers to this sector so that they can actively participate in the improvement and development of tourism infrastructure and services. 


He continued: The government is trying to provide suitable conditions for the participation of the private sector by developing new regulations and reduce the existing obstacles in the way of tourism development.The deputy of parliament, legal and provincial affairs of the Ministry of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts pointed out the necessary standards for four and five star hotels and stated: These standards must be observed to improve the level of services provided to tourists. 


Referring to the high costs of building permits, Vahidi said: these costs are back-breaking for tourism activists and require more cooperation and assistance from municipalities and government institutions.The deputy of parliament, legal and provincial affairs of the Ministry of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts pointed out the existing legal exemptions in this field and called for better implementation of these exemptions in order to reduce the economic pressure on activists in this field. 


Vahedi also pointed out the importance of the handicrafts sector next to tourism and said: handicrafts are one of the important economic sectors of the country, which can not only help the economic development of deprived areas, but also play an important role in introducing Iranian culture and art to the world.The deputy of parliament, legal and provincial affairs of the Ministry of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts added: In the development plans of the government, special attention has been paid to this sector and efforts are being made to improve the production and export of handicrafts. 


In another part of his speech, the Deputy of Parliament Affairs of the Ministry of Cultural Heritage pointed out the role of religious tourism, especially in Mashhad, and said:Mashhad has a special place as one of the main religious tourism destinations in the country, we are trying to increase the length of stay of pilgrims and tourists by developing accommodation and tourism infrastructure in this city. 


Vahidi stated: Last year, more than 31 million pilgrims traveled to Mashhad, which indicates the special importance of this city in the country's tourism industry.He pointed to the big tourism projects that have been implemented in the country in recent years and said: These projects have played a significant role in the economic prosperity of the country. 


 The deputy of parliament, legal and provincial affairs of the Ministry of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts pointed out the plans of the Ministry of Cultural Heritage for the further development of this sector and clarified: We currently have 168 large tourism projects under implementation, many of which will be put into operation in the coming years. .Emphasizing the need for more cooperation between the public and private sector, Vahidi called on all the activists in this field to support and cooperate with each other to provide the fields for the sustainable development of the tourism industry. 


He asked all government institutions and municipalities to help the development of this industry as much as possible by reducing obstacles and facilitating conditions, and added: Tourism industry can be one of the main axes of the economic development of the country and we should do all our efforts to exploit the existing capacities.
